How many Members of the European Parliament does each country have?
With the enlargement of 1 July 2013 when Croatia joined the EU, the number of members of the European Parliament was raised to 766 members. This is on a temporary basis however, as the number of members will be reduced after the next European Parliament election in 2014 (as stipulated in the Lisbon Treaty). The number of Members of the European Parliament granted to each Member State is shown in the table below. This is indicative of the current number of members, valid until 2014.
