THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on European
Union, and in particular Articles 15 and 34 thereof,
Whereas:
(1) On 27
December 2001, the Council adopted Common Position 2001/931/CFSP on the appli
tion of specific measures to combat terrorism(1).
(2) On 12 December
2002, the Council adopted Common Position 2002/976/CFSP updating Co
mon
Position 2001/931/CFSP and repealing Common Position 2002/847/CFSP(2).
(3)
Common Position 2001/931/CFSP provides for a review at regular intervals.
(4) It is necessary to update the Annex to Common Position 2001/931/CFSP and
repeal Comm
Position 2002/976/CFSP.
(5) A list has been elaborated in
compliance with the criteria laid down in Article 1(4) of Comm
Position
2001/931/CFSP,
HAS ADOPTED THIS COMMON POSITION:
Article 1
The list
of persons, groups and entities to which Common Position 2001/931/CFSP applies
is c
tained in the Annex.
Article 2
Common Position 2002/976/CFSP is
hereby repealed.

Article 3
This Common Position shall take effect on
the date of its adoption.
Article 4
This Common Position shall be
published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
